Tom Morello releases new “cross-genre banger,” “Rabbit’s Revenge”; plans “The Atlas Underground” live events

ABC/Randy HolmesTom Morello has released a new song called “Rabbit’s Revenge,” which appears on the Rage Against the Machine guitarist’s upcoming solo album, The Atlas Underground. The track, which features DJ Bassnectar and rappers Big Boi and Killer Mike, is available now for digital download.

“‘Rabbit’s Revenge’ is the hard rocking, cross-genre banger I was aiming for when I envisioned The Atlas Underground record,” says Morello. “Bassnectar, Big Boi, Killer Mike & I combining forces to fight police brutality. We are not violent, but the music is.”

You can also hear “Rabbit’s Revenge” in a new trailer for the upcoming film The Predator, which hits theaters September 14.

The Atlas Underground, Morello’s first album under his own name, will be released October 12. It also features guest spots from Mumford & SonsMarcus Mumford, K.Flay, Rise Against‘s Tim McIlrath, Gary Clark Jr. and Portugal. the Man.

Along with the new track, Morello has also announced a run of The Atlas Underground live events, during which you’ll get to hear the album in its entirety before its official release. Morello himself will also be in attendance, telling stories about the making of the record and giving live guitar demonstrations.
