Live, Bush announce co-headlining tour celebrating 25th anniversary of “Throwing Copper” and “Sixteen Stone”

Credit: Clay Patrick McBrideLive and Bush have announced a summer co-headlining tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of their respective breakthrough albums, Throwing Copper and Sixteen Stone.

The joint trek, dubbed the ALT-IMATE tour, launches June 6 in Mashantucket, Connecticut, and will wrap up September 8 in Rochester, Michigan. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. local time. Visit or for all ticket info.

“We are thrilled to be touring this summer with Live,” says Bush’s Gavin Rossdale. “The wealth and depth of songs from both bands should provide a great night of music. Looking forward to seeing you all this summer.”

“Bush is a great band and Gavin is a super passionate singer and performer.  I’m really looking forward to spending the summer with them,” add’s Live’s Ed Kowalczyk. “I know the fans are going to get one hell of a show.”

Both released in 1994, Live’s Throwing Copper and Bush’s Sixteen Stone are the best-selling albums by each band.  They both spawned multiple hit rock radio singles, including Live’s “Lightning Crashes,” “Selling the Drama” and “All Over You,” and Bush’s “Glycerine,” “Comedown” and “Everything Zen.”
