Former Creed frontman Scott Stapp has announced a new solo album called The Space Between the Shadows, which will arrive in July. You can download the lead single “Purpose for Pain” now via digital outlets.
“‘Purpose for Pain’ is about seeking a higher meaning, a spiritual mentality when dealing with our struggles and life’s painful moments,” Stapp says in a statement.
“There are unexplainable, dark times that everyone goes through, and that pain is real,” he continues. “If we can dig deep and hold on to hope during the most difficult situations, believing there is a purpose waiting for us on the others side, we can find meaning and clarity that gives us the strength to keep fighting.”
Stapp will launch a U.S. headlining tour this summer in support of the upcoming album, beginning June 20 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Visit ScottStapp.com for ticket info.
The Space Between the Shadows is Stapp’s third solo album, and first since 2013’s Proof of Life. It’s also the first record from Stapp since his very public psychotic break in late 2014. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2015.
