The Smashing Pumpkins announce summer tour with Noel Gallagher and AFI

The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a summer tour with ex-Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher and his solo band, High Flying Birds. The trek, which will also feature support from AFI, kicks off August 8 in Camden, New Jersey, and will wrap August 31 in Mountain View, California.

Tickets go on sale beginning this Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. local time. Visit for ticket info.

Last year, original Pumpkins members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin reunited for their first tour together in nearly 20 years. However, the dream of an Oasis reunion still seems unlikely, as Noel and his estranged brother Liam Gallagher continue to snipe at each other in the media — so at least one of those bands is close to their ’90s form.
