Tool’s Justin Chancellor working on “interesting” new riffs

Credit: Travis ShinnNew Tool music is in the works, thanks to bassist Justin Chancellor.

Speaking to Bass Magazine, Chancellor reveals that he’s written “some interesting riffs which will be reserved for Tool.”

Chancellor’s news follow drummer Danny Carey‘s comments last month about “hoping” to write a new Tool EP while in quarantine.

Tool, of course, released their long-awaited, 13-years-in-the-making album Fear Inoculum last August.

While the Tool rhythm section is contemplating new Tool tunes, frontman Maynard James Keenan earlier this month dropped “Apocalyptical,” a new song with Puscifer.
